India Beat Australia by 36 runs in 2nd ODI



Highlights Of The Win

Australia Won the Toss & Choose to Bowl First & therefore Indian Openers came to Bat at the ground.  A must win game for India as the 3 ODI Series was AUS 1-0 IND

Rohit Sharma & Shikhar Dhawan gave an excellent start with an Opening Partnership of 81 Runs off 81 balls.

Rohit also became the World's Fastest to 7000 ODI Runs as an Opener. Later, Rohit Sharma Got out at 42 (44) but it didn't stop Dhawan from scoring 96 Runs off 90 balls which was just 4 runs short of a Century.



Then the World's No.1 Batsman Virat Kohli took up the responsibility of a Captain & scored a magnificent 78 Runs off 76 balls.

All the finishing job was performed by KL Rahul with his much needed 80 Runs off just 52 balls with a high Strike-rate of 154 & 3 Sixes.

Australia then came up to chase the total of 341 Runs & opener David Warner lost his wicket at 15 runs.


Pressure on Australian team was sky high when Steven Smith & Aaron Finch made a Crucial partnership to control the game. But then Aaron Finch's wicket at 33 Runs, Marnus Labuschagne continued the partnership but he too got out at 46 Runs off 47 balls. Then Kuldeep Yadav took his 100th ODI Wicket of Steven Smith at 98 Runs off 102 balls. Kuldeep Yadav became the 2nd Fastest Indian To Take 100 ODI Wickets!


Later Mohammed Shami's double Yorker strike just made the decision of the match a formality.
